Mission and Vision Statements
The mission of Community Mediation Services of St. Louis is to bring people together to talk and resolve differences through mediation, education, and training.
Our Vision as peacemakers is to become the recognized leader in Community Mediation, so that mediation becomes the preferred way to resolve conflict.
Community Mediation Services of St. Louis’s Board of Directors is comprised of 12 members of diverse background and experience. All of them are dedicated to the important work of making our organization sustainable and capable of meeting St. Louis’ needs for years to come.
More than 20 voluntary mediators from throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area come together to create a deep, diverse pool of mediators. Each is dedicated to the task of helping people in our community resolve conflict. Our professional in-house training program helps insure that each is dedicated to our values as an organization. Each is well prepared for the task of managing our Community Mediation Process.
Community Mediation Services of St. Louis is a service of the St. Louis Mennonite Peace Center, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that has supported community building projects and community mediation in St. Louis since 1999. Mennonite peace centers throughout the world promote principles of nonviolent social change by fostering peaceful dialogue among all persons, regardless of faith tradition.
